Asparagus steamed, then sautéed with bacon fat, butter, garlic and lemon.

Cut bottom ends of asparagus and discard. Steam asparagus in steamer until all asparagus is sweating, has turned dark green and is still slightly crunch.
In two cast iron skillets, melt ¼ cup (each) of butter and add ½ slice of bacon and minced garlic.
Once asparagus is steamed and butter is just sizzling, move asparagus to skillets. Using a pair of tongs, keep the asparagus moving in the skillet to ensure an even cook.
Once asparagus is just soft (about 5 minutes), squeeze the juice of ½ lemon over all the asparagus and rotate once again with tongs. Sprinkle with fresh grated parmesan cheese.
Serve Hot with lemon available.
