Simple Roasted Garlic
How many recipes call for roasted garlic, and none is available? This quick simple recipe yields a nice bulb of roasted garlic in 30 minutes.
This roasted garlic can be added to any recipe calling for roast garlic. It can also be squeezed out and spread on toast or crackers and eaten straight up.
Garlic has amazing health benefits, but some people’s stomachs are sensitive to raw garlic. Roasting the garlic makes it much more gentle on sensitive stomachs.
A simple method of roasting garlic in your oven.
- Bulb Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Preheat oven to 400°.
Remove exterior paper from bulb of garlic
Cut off top of bulb to expose cloves.
Pour olive oil over open end of bulb.
Place in muffin tin, or other baking pan to keep garlic upright while roasting.
Place in 400° F oven for 30-35 minutes until cloves are golden brown and soft to the touch.
Remove from oven and allow to cool until able to touch. Squeeze the bulb to remove the roasted cloves. Follow instructions of recipes calling for roast garlic.
