Good Ole Everyday Tea Biscuits
This is simple and quick tea biscuit recipe. It is nothing fancy, but they go well with a number of the comfort food recipes on this site.

Everyday tea biscuits
Course: Breads, Side Dish, Snack
Servings: 6 biscuits
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup Cooking Oil
- 3/4 cup milk
Preheat oven to 425º F. Mix all dry ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl. Make a hollow crater in the centre.
pour milk and oil into the centre of dry ingredients. Fold all ingredients together creating a rollable dough.
Roll out dough until approximately ½" thick. Using a drinking glass or dough cutter, cut out 6 biscuits. Place on cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 22 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Add ½ cup of shredded old cheddar and an egg for fluffy cheese tea biscuits.
