Kentucky Honey Bourbon Oven BBQ Ribs
As usual, this recipe calls for BOOZE. Jack Daniel’s Honey to be exact. This recipe is EASY, but takes several hours to prepare. The finished product is well worth the time.

A simply delicious, moderately easy rib dinner.

Servings: 6 people
- 8 lbs Short Ribs
- 1/2 cup Jack Daniels Honey Bourbon
- 4 cups water
- 3 cups ketchup
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 3 cups finely chopped onions
- 6 cloves minced garlic large
- 1 cup brown sugar Cut in half for a more savory sauce
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 tbsp Cayenne Pepper
- 2 tbsp Keens Dry Mustard
- 6 large russet potatoes.
Separate ribs by slicing between bones
Preheat Oven to 350
Pour about a 1/2 inch of oil into a large frying pan. Heat pan until oil is hot but not burning.
Sear ribs until browned on all sides. Do not cook through
lay ribs in two or three casserole dishes.
Pour 1/2 of BBQ Sauce over the ribs.
Place ribs in oven
Every twenty minutes for first two hours, turn ribs and baste with remaining BBQ sauce mixture.
Bake for final hour at 350.
cut potatoes into whatever size french fries you desire.
dry using paper towel.
season with a little salt and pepper.
lightly cover with flour.
Deep fry in hot canola oil until golden brown.
place in a bowl.
Refry when ready to serve.
Sprinkle lightly with Lowrey's Seasoned Salt
